All-Russian festival of student sports will be held in Krasnoyarsk

From February 27 to March 3, the All-Russian festival of student sports “Univer League” will take place in Krasnoyarsk. This was discussed in the regional agency for youth policy and implementation of social development programs.

3,000 students from 500 educational organizations will compete for the title of best. Participants will enjoy a series of sports competitions, educational and business events. Students will be able to test their strength in 27 areas: football, rugby and tag rugby on the snow, drone racing, volleyball, swimming, yukigassen, phygital golf, classic and 3-3 basketball, regball, tug-of-war, rowing, wrestling, army hand-to-hand combat, mas-wrestling, cheersports, boxing, table tennis, functional all-around, phygital sports, orienteering and programming, laser combat, e-sports, chess and curling.

The partners of the program are specialized All-Russian sports federations and All-Russian sports student leagues for the sports presented in the festival program, including the Swimming Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Student Rugby League, the Yukigassen Federation of Russia, the Golf Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, ASB, the Computer Sports Federation of the Russian Federation, the Chess Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Curling Federation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

“The All-Russian student sports festival UniverLiga will be a significant event in the field of physical culture and sports among youth, aimed at developing mass sports, training a sports reserve and forming qualified personnel for the sports industry. The festival will strengthen ties between educational institutions and sports organizations, and will also allow participants to exchange experiences with colleagues and improve their skills in the field,” the agency noted.

“UniverLeague” will continue the traditions of the All-Russian winter festival of mass sports ASSC of Russia, which has been held in Krasnoyarsk since 2022. In addition, this year’s competitions will be held at the venues of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019.

The event will be organized by the Youth Educational Center “Sportex” – a project from Rosmolodezh, the Russian Student Sports Union, the All-Russian youth public organization “Association of Student Sports Clubs of Russia” with the support of the administration of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the agency for youth policy and the implementation of social development programs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Ministry of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
