CFR beat Universitatea Cluj 3-2 on Saturday evening in Gruia, and climbed at least for the moment to the top 6 in the SuperLiga. At the end of the match, there was a clash between the members of the two teams, and the coach of the guests, the Italian Cristiano Bergodi, received a red card after roughing Andrei Cordea, the footballer of the hosts.
CFR's goals were scored by Djokovic (5`), Biliboc (10`) and Camora (43`), while Nistor (29`) and Drammeh (83`) scored for U.
With this victory, CFR Cluj has 41 points, one less than U, and entered the play-off zone, although at one point it seemed out of the question.
Daniel Pancu's team has reached six consecutive successes in the SuperLiga and has not lost points since December 7, when it ended in a tie with Craiova at “Oblemenco”, score 1-1.
At this stage, CFR and U can only be surpassed by FC Botoșani, who will play against the “red lantern” Metaloglobus, on Sunday, from 5 p.m.
Oțelul and FCSB, the occupants of the 9-10 places, are four points away from CFR and will meet in a direct duel, also on Sunday, from 20:00.
