The file concerns the construction of roads without the necessary permits and in violation of the law. The mayor was brought, during the day, to the DNA headquarters for hearings.

Among the facts of which the mayor is accused is the construction of a road for his brother, a real estate developer, about which the Recorder reported.

The Prefect of the Capital, Andrei Nistor, states that the road was built “on the fly”, over a gas main, “without any authorization”.

Prosecutors have officially announced that the investigations are aimed at crimes similar to those of corruption, committed in the period 2017-2025. According to the DNA, 11 searches took place on Thursday, two of which were at the offices of public institutions and the rest at individuals or at the workplaces of some commercial companies.
