Krasnoyarsk will again host participants of the International Olympiad on Financial Security

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov chaired a meeting of the regional organizing committee dedicated to preparations for the finals of the VI International Olympiad on Financial Security. The event will take place in the fall of 2026 in the regional capital on the basis of the Siberian Federal University.

The regional government reported that Mikhail Kotyukov set tasks for the responsible departments, covering not only the holding of the intellectual competitions themselves, but also the entire complex organization of a large-scale event: providing accommodation, food, security, transport logistics, as well as developing a rich cultural and sports program for participants.

The head of the region said that the final of the VI International Olympiad on Financial Security in Krasnoyarsk should be held at the highest level:

“For the second time, the Krasnoyarsk Territory has been entrusted with hosting the final of the International Olympiad on Financial Security. This is not only a high honor, but also a great responsibility. We are obliged to hold the event at the highest level. I ask you to explore possibilities for integrating the Olympiad with other youth events in the region. Our task is not just to welcome guests, but also to involve young Krasnoyarsk residents as much as possible, so that the event becomes a real celebration of knowledge and opportunities for all our youth.”

As State Secretary and Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring German Neglyad noted, this year it is planned to expand both the geography of finalists and the total number of participants in the Olympiad.

“The geography of the Olympics is constantly expanding. This year’s final will traditionally bring together representatives from different countries and continents. Schoolchildren and students will take part in educational, professional, sports and cultural events. Among the current topics of discussion are the development of new technologies and international cooperation in the field of financial security, the fight against fraud, etc. I will separately note the events for experts, which will address the development of anti-money laundering systems and financial security in general. One of these events will be a thematic forum,” explained German Neglyad.

Let us add that in parallel with the preparatory work, the invitational stage of the Olympiad continues. It takes place on the Commonwealth educational platform and is open to everyone: schoolchildren, students, as well as their parents, teachers and experts.

The stage will last until March 10 and will allow participants to become familiar with the format of assignments in areas such as mathematics, computer science, social studies, law and information security, as well as receive a certificate for their portfolio.
