The Krasnoyarsk Territory ranks second in the Siberian Federal District in terms of investment in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Such data is provided by the MTS digital ecosystem based on the results of the analysis for 2025.

According to the study, the region was second only to the Novosibirsk region in this indicator, but ahead of the Omsk and Kemerovo regions. Most often, companies from the fields of transport, logistics, retail, energy and housing and communal services turn to IoT solutions.

In the transportation industry, technology helps manage fleets, track cargo, control speed and fuel consumption. In retail, they are used for security systems, and in housing and communal services – for automatic transmission of meter readings, which makes charges more transparent and reduces general household expenses. Thousands of terminals and ATMs in the region also operate based on these technologies.

The Krasnoyarsk Territory maintains high positions in the ranking of Russian leading regions in digital transformation. In 2025, businesses were still actively implementing IoT solutions at enterprises operating in the difficult conditions of the Far North, where devices monitor the condition of equipment and the environment. Digital technologies in such harsh conditions cease to be an option; they become critical infrastructure for business“,” said Sergei Yegoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The rating of digitalization of regions was compiled based on an analysis of the implementation of cloud services, IoT and intelligent video surveillance systems by MTS business in 2024-2025.
