In Krasnoyarsk, a driver will be punished for avoiding a traffic jam in the oncoming lane (video)

Krasnoyarsk traffic police inspectors brought to administrative responsibility the driver of a Ford Focus who drove into the oncoming lane through a double solid marking line.

The motorist grossly violated traffic rules on Vysotnaya Street, deciding to avoid the traffic jam that had formed in front of the traffic light. His action was recorded on another driver’s car registrator, and then on social networks.

The video recording was discovered by traffic police and the driver was identified. He turned out to be a 50-year-old local resident.

“The man explained that he was in a hurry, did not notice the road markings and thought that he was not violating the traffic rules,” the traffic police said.

A protocol was drawn up against the motorist under Part 4 of Article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Driving in violation of the rules traffic into the lane intended for oncoming traffic”, the sanction of which provides for punishment in the form of a fine of 7.5 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 4 to 6 months. We also had a preventive conversation with the driver about the inadmissibility of such dangerous maneuvers on the roads.
