He is only 34 years old, but he has already almost reached the top of Russian cinema. Three of his works were included in the long list of the main Russian film award “Golden Eagle” in five categories. In addition, in his hometown, he created his own creative studio, which shoots anything – from advertising and videos to feature films. And he studied to be a metallurgist. He is Ivan Sosnin.
We talked to the director to understand how it all happened. We discussed Ural cinema, the most important things for building a career in the field, trends on Russian screens, our own path and the story of the touching series “South” produced by Norm Production about a boy who goes across the country in search of his father.
