

Almost half as many do not trust the current head of state – 33%. In mid-January 2026, the figures were almost identical, the report notes. 7% found it difficult to answer the sociologists’ question.
Among the 61% who trust Zelensky, 25% “completely” trust him, the remaining 36% “rather” trust him. Among the 33% of those who do not trust, 17% do not trust “at all,” and 16% “rather” do not trust the president.
The survey was conducted on January 23–29 through calls to mobile phones; 1,003 people took part in it in all regions of Ukraine, except the occupied ones. KIIS noted that the sample included people temporarily displaced within the country, but did not include citizens who traveled abroad after February 24, 2022.
The statistical error for the question of trust in the president, according to the institute’s methodology, does not exceed 5.8%.
