“Ukraine cannot remain alone.” Tusk travels to Kyiv at “this dramatic time” at Zelensky’s invitation


“At the invitation of Vladimir Zelensky, I will be in Kyiv in the coming days. At this dramatic time, Ukraine cannot remain alone,” the head of the Polish government wrote.

At the same time, Tusk did not specify when he plans to go to Kyiv.




Earlier, MPs of Ukraine reported on the visit of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to Kyiv on February 3. In particular, Rutte is expected to speak in the Parliament.

On Facebook, the State Security Administration of Ukraine warned that on February 3 in the center of Kyiv they will temporarily restrict road traffic in connection with the visit of foreign delegations and security measures.


Context

Tusk’s visit to Ukraine will take place against the backdrop of attacks by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian energy facilities and critical infrastructure, in particular Kyiv.

Also on February 4 and 5, the next round of negotiations between the United States, Ukraine and the Russian Federation on resolving the Russian-Ukrainian war will take place. On February 2, on the eve of the trilateral meeting, the head of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen, had a conversation with Zelensky.
