The President said that he held a conference call on energy, which was attended by “all regions where the situation is now particularly difficult”
“In fact, these are regions of Central Ukraine, also border communities with Russia, where there is constant shelling and fighting. In the Dnepropetrovsk region, and especially in Nikopol, power lines were damaged due to shelling. Also in the Pavlograd region and other communities near the front, Russian strikes continue, including damage to local infrastructure, local energy facilities,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, Ukrzaliznytsia was again under attack in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
“But we maintain the connection between the regions, our transport links,” Zelensky emphasized. “It is important that today during the day there were no missile attacks or attacks against infrastructure, and this demonstrates that when America has a motive to really change the situation, the situation can change.”
In the morning, the Ministry of Energy was informed that as a result of Russian attacks on energy facilities in the Kharkov, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk and Cherkasy regions, consumers were de-energized.
During the day, Zelensky wrote that the Russian Federation continues to fire at Ukrainian energy facilities, but not “targetedly” with missiles and attack drones.
