The director of the recently released documentary about the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, also appears in Jeffrey Epstein's files, in images that show him right next to the convicted sex offender, according to documents published by the US Department of Justice, reports BBC News.

Brett Ratner, who also directed “Rush Hour” and “X-Men: The Last Stand,” can be seen in these photos sitting on a couch with Epstein and two women whose identities are being censored. Ratner is caught hugging one of the women.

It remains unclear when the images were taken, but they appear to have been taken in the same location as the photos of Ratner and Epstein with former French fashion agent Jean-Luc Brunel that were published in December.

  • Jean-Luc Brunel, a close friend and associate of Jeffrey Epstein, was in turn accused of raping several former top models and was suspected of pimping minors, acting as an intermediary for the American financier. Like Epstein, Brunel committed suicide in prison while awaiting trial.

The new images are part of a batch of millions of files related to the files of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, documents released by the Trump administration on Friday as required by a bipartisan law passed by Congress.

A series of thumbnails from the photo collection show Ratner, Epstein and Brunel smiling and relaxing with various women, whose identities have been withheld.

The files were released on the same day as the release of the documentary “Melania: 20 Days to History,” a behind-the-scenes look at the life of the first lady of the United States in the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump's inauguration for his second term as president in January 2025.

The film has already been met with extremely negative reactions from critics and political commentators due to its ties to the Trump administration and the way it was financed, controversies that arose even before its theatrical release.

“Melania” is also Brett Ratner's first major project since 2017, when he was targeted by multiple accusations of sexual harassment. Then, during the #MeToo movement, at least six women accused the filmmaker of inappropriate sexual behavior and harassment. Ratner denied the allegations.
