Serghei Şoigu, the secretary of the Security Council of Russia, arrived in China on Sunday for a round of official discussions with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, on the topic of international and regional security. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation arrived in China on Sunday, where he will meet with Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss security issues, Russian media reported on Sunday, informs Reuters, quoted by Agerpres.
“The parties will discuss the changing situation in the field of international and regional security”the Interfax news agency reported, citing the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Sergei Shoigu's visit to Russia coincides with the recent talks between Russian, Ukrainian and US officials aimed at ending the almost four-year conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The Secretary of the Russian Security Council also met with the Chinese Foreign Minister in December, in Moscow, Reuters recalls.
We recall that Serghei Şoigu warned the United States on Friday, October 31, regarding the degradation of strategic stability after the White House's announcement regarding the resumption of nuclear weapons tests, but he stated that Russia is ready to carry out tests on its test sites, if necessary.
