The documents related to Jeffrey Epstein published by the US Ministry of Justice include e-mails regarding his meeting with former Polish tennis player Wojciech Fibak in Paris in 2013. Fibak is listed as an art collector.

The published files contain two references to a meeting with Fibak in October 2013. In one of the e-mails from September 2013, Epstein congratulates the former tennis star (the reason is unknown) and asks if he will be in Paris at the turn of September and October. Fibak replies: “Yes, merci. Call me anytime! wojtek.” The other documents include Epstein's calendar with a reminder that he is scheduled to meet Fibak on October 5 in Paris.
Next to Fibak's name, in parentheses, there is an annotation “Fine Art Investments” (investments in works of art) and the name was erased by the ministry, which suggests that one of the victims was supposed to take part in the meeting. Fibak is known for collecting art, while Epstein had connections in the art world and was involved in art trade. At least some of his transactions were being investigated by investigators for tax avoidance. (PAP)
