The draw for the Champions League play-off matches will take place on Friday at noon, starting at 13:00, at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The entire event can be watched live on the UEFA website, on TV on Digi Sport 1 and Prima Sport 1 and liveTEXT on GSP.ro.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham, Barcelona, ​​Chelsea, Sporting and Manchester City are the 8 teams that qualified directly for the round of 16 of the most prestigious interclub competition on the continent.

The next 16 ranked will find out their opponent in the play-off at the draw scheduled today at noon. The matches are played in double legs, round-robin, and the winners will advance to the round of 16. Teams that finished 9-16 will be seeded in the play-offs.

Here are the pairings for the Champions League play-offs:

  • Real Madrid (9th) and Inter Milan (10th) will be paired with Bodo/Glimt (23rd) and Benfica (24th)

  • PSG (11th) and Newcastle (12th) will be paired with Monaco (21st) and Qarabag (22nd)

  • Juventus (13th) and Atletico Madrid (14th) will be paired with Club Brugge (19th) and Galatasaray (20th)

  • Atalanta (15th) and Bayer Leverkusen (16th) will be paired with Borussia Dortmund (17th) and Olympiakos (18th)

Starting with the knockout stages, teams from the same championships can meet in head-to-head matches. Also, in the play-offs, teams can be paired with opponents from the group.

On February 27, after the play-offs, a new draw will take place to determine the round of 16 matches and the overall draw of the competition.

The grand final of the Champions League is scheduled for May 30, in Budapest.
