The “energy truce” is becoming a fact. “We are ready to stop the attacks”

“The US side talked about refraining from attacks on energy infrastructure for a week, and the countdown began tonight. Of course, everything depends on the partners – on the United States – how it all turns out. Ukraine is ready to refrain from attacks. Today we did not carry out any strikes on Russian energy facilities,” Zelensky wrote in the Telegram messenger.

Trump talked to Putin
The president said that on the night from Thursday to Friday, no attacks on energy facilities were reported throughout Ukraine. “Almost none. With the exception of the Donetsk region, where one attack on gas infrastructure was recorded, an attack with air bombs,” Zelensky clarified.
The head of state noted that a change in Russia's attitude can be seen – a shift to attacking logistics infrastructure and railway junctions. “In particular, in the morning in the Dnipropetrovsk region, one of the Ukrzaliznytsi (Ukrainian Railways) wagons, a special power plant wagon, was hit,” he said.
“Russia is deliberately attacking our logistics routes – this is conscious terror aimed at people and civilian logistics. Over the last 24 hours, the enemy has carried out seven drone attacks on railway facilities,” said Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that he had asked Vladimir Putin to stop the bombing of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities for a week due to the cold wave. The American leader announced that Putin agreed to such a proposal.
Russian troops have been regularly attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure for many weeks. Tens of thousands of people are deprived or have limited access to electricity, heating and water.
