NordStar Airlines has released the first flight attendants from its own training center

30 January 19:22
NordStar Airlines graduated the first cohort of students from its own aviation training center under the “Initial Flight Attendant Training” program.
The training program was developed by NordStar Airlines specialists taking into account current civil aviation standards and the specifics of operating activities.
Today the ceremonial presentation of the final documents and flight attendant certificates to the first graduating class took place. In a short period of time – in just 288 hours (64 calendar days) the students completed an intensive training program, including 18 disciplines in the required volume, as well as hours of training in additional skills, such as the basics of self-defense and a course on assisting childbirth on board.
The course included both theoretical and practical parts, covering key aspects of safety, passenger service, procedures for dealing with disruptive passengers and behavior in emergency situations, including the use of VR technologies in the modules of emergency rescue training on land and water, fire extinguishing, depressurization, checking equipment using a checklist, and first aid. The training was conducted by certified teachers, as well as current NordStar airline flight attendant instructors.
As part of the program, students also practiced in the cabin of a NordStar airline aircraft and were trained on real operating equipment.
At the end of the program, all graduates are invited to join the cabin crew team of NordStar Airlines, thus, immediately after graduation, new flight attendants are enrolled in the airline staff and have the opportunity to immediately begin their professional activities, apply and hone the acquired knowledge and skills already in flight conditions. After completing five flights under the supervision of the airline's instructors, they will begin independent flights.

The NordStar Aviation Training Center operates on the basis of a license from the Ministry of Education, as well as on the basis of an ATC Certificate issued by an authorized body, and complies with established professional standards. Its launch became part of the airline’s long-term strategy to create a sustainable system for training aviation personnel and reduce dependence on external educational providers.
In a rapidly changing aviation industry, having your own educational base becomes not only a strategically sound decision, but also an important resource for promptly responding to personnel challenges, developing internal competencies and adapting training programs in accordance with modern market requirements, NordStar notes.
The development of its own training center allows NordStar Airlines not only to meet internal personnel needs, but also to form a new line of business focused on the external market. The plans include expanding the range of programs, introducing new techniques and training specialists in other aviation areas.
Today, the aviation training center operates 28 training programs, of which the most extensive and in demand are:
- flight attendant initial training program;
- pilot training program to obtain a type rating for the Boeing 737NG aircraft.
The flight attendant training program is open to anyone who meets the health requirements. At the end of the program, you are issued a package of documents of the established state standard, which makes it possible to continue your professional path in any Russian airline. For students of the second stream, NordStar Airlines provides the opportunity to undergo a preliminary interview and, if successful, undergo free training with subsequent employment on the staff of NordStar Airlines. Detailed information about the program, conditions and start dates for training is presented on the website nordstar.ru in the Aviation Training Center section.
