Poles agree on Trump. It's about the raid of Russian drones [SONDAŻ]

Trump referred to events in Poland several times. On September 10, he published a short entry on Truth Social: “What is Russia violating the aircraft of Poland by Russia? It starts“The next day, in an interview with journalists, he assessed that the incident” could be a mistake “. In Fox News, he added: – In Poland, these drones were shot down. There should be no of them near Poland at all. I don't want to defend anyone.

During the next interview, on Thursday, he emphasized: – I cannot comment on whether it was a mistake or not. They shouldn't be there, let's be honest. But apparently they were turned off. You know, today you can turn off drones. A great way to attack the drone is to turn it off, and they fall everywhere. So let's hope it was so.
These kinds of statements – avoiding the unequivocal condemnation of Moscow – aroused mixed reactions in Poland.

What do Poles think about the reaction of Donald Trump to the raid of Russian drones?
In the SW Research study, Polish and Poles answered the question: “Do you think that the reaction of US President Donald Trump on the raid of Russian drones over Poland should be more determined, e.g. through new sanctions or sharper statements?”
The results are as follows:
- Definitely yes – 50.2 percent,
- rather yes – 23.8 percent,
- rather not – 3.8 percent,
- definitely not – 1.6 percent,
- I don't know / it's hard to say – 20.6 percent
In total almost Three -quarters of the respondents decided that the American president should react sharper to Russia's actions.
The US position is not only military, but also political for Poland. In a situation where society expects a hard reaction, the cautious statements of Donald Trump may arouse a sense of uncertainty about Washington's determination in the face of the growing threat from Russia.
