Minister Cseke Attila from the UDMR declared, on Wednesday, that the stability of the governing coalition is important, recalling that the protocol agreed between the parties stipulates that the PNL will become the prime minister by the spring of next year, reports Agerpres.
Speaking about the situation in the coalition, on Wednesday, in Odobești, in the context of PSD's criticism of the prime minister, the Minister of Development said that he believes that Ilie Bolojan will hold the position as long as he has the support of the PNL, the party he leads.
“Mr. Bolojan, from my point of view, will remain prime minister until the PNL supports him. And today the PNL supports Ilie Bolojan, as far as I know. Because we have a protocol that says that, until the spring of next year, the PNL gives the person for the position of prime minister. Now, sure, a lot can happen in a country and in a government, I'm not predictive to tell you what will happen in a week or two, but for Romania it is important that this coalition to stand up and move on,” said Cseke Attila.
He said that it is important for the Ministry of Development to have money for investment programs and to adopt the package regarding the reform in the administration, “because the message sent to society is also important” in the context of the discussions that exist on the topic of raising local taxes.
“It is important that the state also reduce its expenses. It is not only about the implementation of this package, but also about the message that the Government gives through this implementation, in the sense that both the central public administration and the local one, where appropriate, are being thinned out. Not only are local taxes increasing, not only is life becoming more expensive, but the state is also thinning out its expenses. It is an important message and I expect that this package will be implemented as quickly as possible, in order to be able to put this message into practice”, he Minister Cseke Attila also declared.
