Only two deputies spoke out against prohibition in the Vologda region. One of them was caught drunk driving several years ago.
In 2016, Alexander Morozov demanded strengthened control over drunk drivers at a session of the Legislative Assembly. That same day, he got drunk, got behind the wheel and got caught. Got off with a fine of 30k plus deprivation of rights for 1.5 years. Well, today, together with a friend, I voted against restricting the sale of intoxicating drinks in Vologda.
The second dissenter is deputy Viktor Leukhov. In a conversation with Mash, he said: due to the ban on alcoholic beverages, people will suffer and run away from work in order to get drunk during the allocated hours. But he himself does not drink, because he considers this matter harmful.
We previously wrote that governor-rapper Filimonov announced an imminent restriction on the sale of alcohol in the region at the end of October. From 12 to 14 on weekdays, as usual – on weekends.
