In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, volunteers used a neural network to analyze photographs from the scene of the disappearance of the Usoltsev family in Kuturchinsky Belogorye. TASS reports this with reference to a representative of the detachment. LisaAlert» Seraphim Chood.

Volunteers took pictures using a UAV during the period from May 23 to May 26, when they went to Kuturchyny with regional rescuers. At this time, professional search engines examined the area behind the Malvinka rock, including impassable places.

The method we used is called photogrammetry. It assumes that the drone surveys the area at given coordinates: each frame overlaps neighboring ones, resulting in a densely filmed surface, and each suspicious object is recorded from several angles. …> Now the materials have been analyzed by a neural network. The speed of its work 0.4 seconds per shot. Next, we will conduct a more in-depth analysis of the received images using the viewing and analysis group and get ready for the next trip», Serafima Chood told.

In total, more than 20 thousand photographs were taken. This was made possible by a new unmanned complex. The total length of the tracks of the recorded UAV route was almost 380 km.

Let us remind you that Sergei and Irina Usoltsev and their 5-year-old daughter went on a hike to Kuturchinskoe Belogorye at the end of September 2025. On September 28, they decided to take a walk along a simple route, but did not return to base. The search continued for a long time difficult weather conditions and to the maximum capabilities of all operational services and volunteers. In mid-October the active phase was completed. They plan to continue work from June, as soon as the snow completely melts from the forest.
