A brigade soldier with the call sign Omar helped passengers leave the burning train: he opened the door, lowered the steps, carried out things and people.

The Ukrainian defender, in particular, helped a mother with a small child.

“Mom, where’s the baby? Bunny, leave the bags, the child comes first, I’ll be back. I promise to come back,” Omar said to the passenger with the child.

The woman did not want to leave the bag because it contained the child’s documents. So Omar carried the child out and helped his mother. The published video shows a soldier walking with people in the direction of the forest.

“Everyone went into the forest, hid and lie down on the ground! […] Two arrivals already. Guys, move away, because it’s still buzzing!” said the military man.


Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Alexey Kuleba reported that the Russians attacked the Barvinkovo ​​- Lviv – Chop train, which carried 291 passengers, with three Shahed attack drones. According to the prosecutor's office, five people were killed as a result of the shelling.

“Identification of the dead will be possible only after DNA examinations,” the prosecutor’s office explained.
