A little girl in cardiac arrest, taken by the Romanian father to a veterinary clinic in Greece. How the man explained the confusion

A man from Romania took his 7-day-old girl without a pulse to a veterinary clinic in Kallithea, Greece, on Wednesday. The child was born prematurely. When asked why he took the child to the vet, he said he thought it was a hospital. The family is from Romania and has two small children at home.

According to the Greek media, the tragedy in Kallithea took place after the 7-day-old child was taken without a pulse, in cardio-respiratory arrest, to a veterinary clinic, writes Mediafax.

According to the information, the child was found unconscious around 6 am by his father and aunt, Romanian citizens. The two initially took the little girl to a veterinary clinic on Syngrou Boulevard, in Kallithea.

From there, an EKAΒ ambulance transported him to the “Agia Sofia” children's hospital.

Doctors tried for 40 minutes to revive him, but ultimately failed and pronounced him dead.

Initial information indicates that he died of pathological causes and suffered a cardiac arrest.

According to the information, the girl was born prematurely, along with her twin brother.

The father and aunt who were with her will testify to the police to explain exactly what happened.
