The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador on Monday – the ministry announced on the X platform. This is a reaction to Moscow's publication of the addresses of arms companies in Germany after the decision of the so-called Ramstein Group on the next tranche of military support for Ukraine.

“Russia's direct threats against targets in Germany are an attempt to weaken our support for Ukraine and test our unity. Our response is clear: we will not be intimidated. Such threats and all forms of espionage in Germany are completely unacceptable,” the ministry said on X.
The ambassador's formal summons is considered a decisive diplomatic measure by which the receiving country signals clear dissatisfaction, protest or demand for explanations.
Last week, the Russian Defense Ministry reacted to the announcement on Wednesday by the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group, known as the Ramstein Group, of another tranche of military support for Kiev. Germany has announced the financing of hundreds of missiles for air defense systems over the next four years. In turn, British Defense Minister John Healey announced the delivery of 120,000 to Ukraine this year. drones of various types.
German-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultations were also held in Berlin on Tuesday. Chancellor Friedrich Merz previously agreed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to establish a “strategic partnership” that also includes military cooperation.
In reaction to Kiev's support from its allies, Russia published the addresses of arms companies based in Germany.
Data from the government in Berlin show that since February 24, 2022, i.e. the beginning of the Kremlin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Berlin has provided Kiev with civilian support worth at least EUR 39 billion and military support in the amount of approximately EUR 55 billion. The budget for 2026 adopted by the Bundestag includes EUR 11.5 billion for Ukraine. (PAP)
