“Rotaru saved them.” Pekun shared the terrible story of her daughter who survived the occupation

Pekun noted that at first she, her daughter and her family went to a country house on the Chernigov highway. However, her son-in-law thought that this was where Russian troops would be heading, so he decided to take his wife and son and go to the village of Lukyanovka, Kyiv region.

“Imagine, the next day the orcs come there. 80 tanks are standing on their street,” the artist shared. “Imagine my state when I have nothing of this [российской оккупации] no, but we are all bombed, we have craters there, we also can’t go anywhere. I say: “Daughter, I can’t go save you, nothing.” That's it, we are divided.”

According to the singer, over time, communication with her daughter began to disappear, and their Lukyanovsk house was hit by an enemy shell.

“They were saved miraculously,” Pekun emphasized and continued to tell how her daughter finally decided to leave the occupation with her family. “They passed the checkpoint in what they were wearing – in slippers, without a stroller, without anything, because the stroller was destroyed by a shell. They left, and they were saved by [украинская певица] Aurika Rotaru. I asked her to give them shelter, and they went to her in the village of Marshintsi [Черновицкой области]”.
