

Pavel held a meeting with Fiala at Prague Castle.
At the same time, the President of the Czech Republic authorized him to temporarily serve as Prime Minister until the appointment of a new government.
Fiala thanked Pavel for his cooperation, Ceske noviny was informed.
He assured the Czech president that his cabinet would do everything possible to ensure that the change of government “goes smoothly, painlessly and with maximum dignity.”
The day before, on November 5, Pavel invited to a meeting the leader of the right-wing populist party “Action of Dissatisfied Citizens,” former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic (2017–2021) Andrej Babis, whose political force won the parliamentary elections in October.
The main topic of the meeting, which will take place on November 12, will be a discussion of the draft program of the potential Babiš government.
