In Krasnoyarsk, parking at the Yarygin Sports Palace will be closed for 5 days

In Krasnoyarsk, it will be impossible to park next to the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace on Otdykha Island for 5 days.

The mayor’s office explained that this is due to the holding of the XXXVII International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament “Ivan Yarygin Cup” and to ensuring the safety of participants and spectators of the event.

“The restriction will affect travel from the eastern side of the building along Ostrov Otdykha Street, 12. From 18:00 on January 28 to 12:00 on February 2, stopping and parking of vehicles near the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace will be completely prohibited here», — The mayor's office reported.

Let us remind you that the XXXVII international freestyle wrestling tournament “Ivan Yarygin Cup” starts on January 29 and ends on February 1. At the moment, applications for participation in the tournament have been confirmed by wrestlers from 20 countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China, North Korea, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, North Macedonia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, South Korea. Also, representatives from Brazil came to the tournament for the first time. The fights will take place in 10 men's and 10 women's weight categories.

The Krasnoyarsk region will be represented by 28 wrestlers at international competitions. Among them are two-time silver medalist of the Yarygin tournaments, multiple winner of the Russian championships Nikita Suchkov, winners of bronze awards from last year’s Ivan Yarygin Cup Igor Ovsyannikov and Arthur Chebodaev. The women's team will include: the current champion of Russia and winner of the Ivan Yarygin Cup 2024 and 2025 Dinara Kudaeva, the European champion, four-time winner of the Yarygin tournaments Khanum Velieva and the current vice-champion of Russia Valeria Trifonova. Also on the Krasnoyarsk team is Kristina Shumova, the current Russian champion.
