“We are not allies.” Pashinyan explained why he is not flying to the parade in Moscow and mentioned Ukraine

Armenian Prime Minister Robert Pashinyan will not attend the military parade on May 9 in Moscow (Russia). He announced this at a briefing in Yerevan.

According to the head of government, he warned the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin about this last month.

“During my visit to the Russian Federation in April, I notified its president that due to the election campaign I would not be able to participate in the events on May 9. We have already announced that we are conducting an election campaign and will participate in it,” Pashinyan said.

On May 4, the summit of the European Political Community was held in Yerevan, where leaders of about 50 world powers, as well as the leadership of the European Union and the Council of Europe, arrived. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky took part in it, pointing to the intensification of dialogue between countries.

At the briefing, journalists noted that his arrival could be regarded as an “anti-Russian step” by Yerevan.

“As for the visit of the President of Ukraine, I have made statements on this topic before. We sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine. And I said that on the Ukrainian issue we are not an ally of Russia,” the Prime Minister responded.
