The Kremlin believes that Europeans are unable to resist Trump's pressure, being “the product of a weak generation of politicians”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this Sunday that current European politicians, whom he considers weak, will not be able to oppose President Donald Trump.

“They are unable to withstand Trump's pressure”Peskov claimed on Russian television, writes Agerpres.
He pointed out that “dramatic changes” occurring lately are a consequence of “double standards” and of the “hypocrisy” that “have prevailed in Europe for many decades”.
“Unfortunately, they are the product of the weak generation of politicians now in power in Europe”he remarked.
He also spoke about the reaction of Europeans when Trump made public his conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Davos Forum this week.
“Very interesting. All the Europeans just got angry (…). But when Macron made public the conversation with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, nobody got angry anymore”he noted.
The Kremlin also stated that Russia will never discuss anything with the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, and that it will wait until she ends her mandate, according to Reuters, which cites Interfax.
“How can you discuss anything with Kaja Kallas? We will never discuss anything with her and the Americans will never discuss anything with her, and that much is obvious. What can we do? We just have to wait until she leaves.” Peskov told reporter Pavel Zarubin, from Russian state television.
Peskov said that Trump's methods do not fully align with the multipolar order promoted by Russia, because the American leader tends to impose the law of the strongest and expects opponents to give in, which Russia will not do.
At the same time, he noted that Trump is an experienced politician who acts according to the principles of the tough business world and defends his country's interests first.
Also according to Reuters, the Kremlin also announced that the Russian army will closely monitor US plans for the “Golden Dome” anti-missile defense shield, including in the context of Trump's desire to acquire Greenland.
“What kind of shield will it be? Against what type of threats will it be designed? I have no doubt that our military will closely monitor and analyze these plans.” Peskov said.
Putin, who has not publicly criticized the White House's actions in Venezuela, Iran or Greenland, has yet to respond to an invitation to join the Gaza Peace Council, an initiative promoted by Trump.
