Stone from the fall site of the Tunguska meteorite is being sold in Surgut

A resident of Surgut is selling a stone on a popular trading platform, which, according to him, was found at the epicenter of the fall of the Tunguska meteorite. This was reported by the publication “Bulletin of the Surgut Region”.

The seller valued the “space” artifact at 1,500 rubles. The product description states that this is “a stone from the epicenter of the largest space disaster in human history.” According to the seller, the lot is accompanied by a passport of the stone with the coordinates of the place of discovery and the signature of the leader of the expedition whose participants discovered it.

Let us recall that the Tunguska meteorite (Tunguska event) is the largest natural disaster in modern history, which occurred on June 30, 1908 in the Podkamennaya Tunguska river basin in the territory of the modern Evenki district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The event was accompanied by a powerful explosion that knocked down trees over an area of ​​about 2,000 square kilometers.
