MP KO “kidnapped” by Israel on the way to Palestine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacts


A recording was published on the profiles of the flotilla in social media, in which the politician informs about his detention. “Prime Minister, Mr. Minister of Foreign Affairs, with all my heart, please do everything to ensure that members of the Polish delegation come home safely. Long live free Palestine, let Free Poland live” – says Sterczewski, emphasizing that the mission was legal and was not related to military operations.
The MP turned directly to the authorities in Warsaw, appealing to intervene and ensure the security of mission participants from Poland. He ended his speech with the words: “Long live free Palestine, let Free Poland live.”
A similar recording also appeared on the Global Movement profile to Gaza Poland. Omar Faris, a social activist with Polish citizenship, performed in it. “I have a Polish passport. If you see this recording, it means that I was kidnapped by an Israeli army in international waters” – said the activist.

The Sumud Flotilla is an international initiative of non -governmental organizations and activists, whose goal is to draw public attention to the situation of civilians in the Gaza Strip. Mission participants emphasize that they transport humanitarian aid and their actions are peaceful.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to information about the detention of Poles. A spokesman for the ministry Maciej Wewiór reported in social media that the situation of the flotilla is monitored. “Our consular services remain in touch with relevant institutions, including the Israeli side. Within the limits of the law and the reality of war, we will take action to take care of Polish citizens” – he wrote.
