After debuting with a spectacular victory on the bench of Manchester United, 2-0 against Manchester City, Michael Carrick achieved his second consecutive victory in the Premier League, 3-2 away to the main favorite for the title, Arsenal! Practically, the former midfielder just installed on the bench of the “devils” robbed the main contenders for the title within 8 days, something unthinkable a few weeks ago!

United's surprise win really reignites the title race. The Gunners are 4 points ahead of Manchester City, while the Red Devils have managed to break into the top 4, overtaking rivals Chelsea and Liverpool.

The stands at the Emirates were first silenced in the 18th minute by Martin Zubimendi's huge chance. The Iberian midfielder made an excellent diving header, but his powerful shot was blocked by Lammens for a corner.

The Gunners restored parity late on in the 84th minute. Saka took a corner and after some mistakes in the Devils box, Mikel Merino managed to push the ball into the goal from inside the small box.

The joy of Mikel Arteta's men lasted just 3 minutes as Manchester United went on the attack again and Matheus Cunha made it 3-2 with a spectacular shot from around 20 yards.
