Ukrainian officials said earlier on Friday that part of the Ukrainian delegation is already in Abu Dhabi and participating in the first informal talks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday that a trilateral Ukraine-US-Russia meeting on the peace agreement between Kiev and Moscow will be held on Friday and Saturday in the United Arab Emirates.

On Friday, Zelensky added that the key point in the negotiations remains the issue of territories in the Donetsk Oblast. He assured that he would keep informed about the progress of the negotiations.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced that negotiations are scheduled for Friday and, if necessary, also for Saturday.

According to previous information, Ukraine is represented during the negotiations by: Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov, First Deputy Head of the President's Office Serhiy Kyslytsia, Chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamiya and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Andriy Hnatov.
The White House announced on Thursday that the negotiators on the American side would be: special envoy for peacekeeping Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and the Pentagon's deputy chief of ground forces Dan Driscoll.
Witkoff and Kushner met in Moscow on Friday evening with Putin and his advisers Kirilo Dmitriev and Yuri Ushakov. Putin's advisers said after the meeting that the conversation was “constructive and important” but provided no further details.
According to the Kremlin, the Russian side is to be represented in Abu Dhabi by Dmitriev, Putin's special envoy for investment and economic cooperation, as well as representatives of the armed forces.
