On January 19, after 0-4 with Craiova University, Eugen Neagoe, the coach of Petrol, explained that he no longer relies on the Greek striker Konstantinos Doumtsios:

“I didn't get him in the lot. Ever since I got here, I didn't like his performance. I told him too, it's very hard to rely on him. If he scored about 10 goals before I arrived, yes”.

Petrol has given up on Doumtsios: presented at Chindia Târgoviște

3 days later, Doumtsios was introduced to the second division Chindia Târgoviște, on loan from Petrolul until the summer. Florin Gardoș, the new general manager of Chindia, is the one who introduced him.

Doumtsios arrived in the Superliga in the summer of 2025, transferred by Petrolul after spending the last two years in the Netherlands, with second league teams.

Since then, the Greek striker has made 20 appearances, 17 of them in the championship, and scored only once, in the 1-2 against UTA in stage 4. Gradually, the coaches reduced his minutes, and on Monday evening, in the 0-4 against Craiova, he didn't even make the team.
