Donald Trump declared at the Economic Forum in Davos, in Switzerland, that the war between Russia and Ukraine must stop and repeated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “wants to make a deal”, specifying that he is in discussions with him.
The American president believes that his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky also wants to conclude an agreement. “They have to end the war,” Trump said, according to News.ro.
Donald Trump also said that NATO will help end the war. “They have to end the war because too many people are dying, dying needlessly,” he said.
Trump has promised to help Europe and NATO in this regard and that all he is asking for is “a piece of ice”, apparently referring to Greenland.
He considers it a modest request compared to what the US has offered to NATO.
He stated that the US will support NATO 100%, but he is not sure if the allies will return the favor.

Zelensky is no longer going to Davos. He stayed in Kyiv to manage the energy crisis caused by the Russian attacks
