In Krasnoyarsk, 10 organizers of illegal gambling will go to trial (video)

In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal investigation has been completed against 10 people accused of illegally organizing and conducting gambling.

The investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region reported that from January 2024 to February 2025, a 41-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident organized an illegal gambling business. The man purchased gaming tables, sets of cards for playing poker, chips and furniture. The illegal gambling establishment was located in various rented apartments in Krasnoyarsk. The accused regularly changed addresses for the purpose of secrecy. To organize the work, he hired staff: 7 croupiers and 2 administrators, who ensured the smooth operation of the gambling establishment.

“Accomplices to the crime, acting in accordance with their assigned roles, from January 2024 to February 2025, organized and conducted gambling for money, outside the gambling zone, extracting income from this criminal activity. The organizer of the illegal business carefully observed secrecy measures; players were notified of the games by sending notifications in instant messengers. Admission to the establishment was granted to persons from among the acquaintances of the organizer of the gambling establishment. New players could come to the casino only on condition of guarantee from existing players,” the press service of the regional Investigative Committee clarified.

Criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal organization and conduct of gambling committed by an organized group) was sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent referral to court for consideration on the merits.
