In Krasnoyarsk, despite the frost, almost 200 people came out to clean the sidewalks, the city Department of Roads, Landscaping and Infrastructure said.
Today, January 21, crews worked on Novosibirskaya, Krasnomoskovskaya, Bryanskaya, Kommunisticheskaya, Semafornaya, Elena Stasova and Aviatorov streets, as well as on the avenue named after the Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy newspaper. Workers removed ice and compacted snow from sidewalks by hand and used machinery where possible.
“It is important to remember that timely snow removal helps minimize snow accumulation and prevents the formation of ice crusts. We are especially closely monitoring areas with high pedestrian activity: at public transport stops, entrances to institutions and pedestrian crossings,” UDIB recalled.

The department assured that they are doing everything to ensure that the sidewalks remain clear for comfortable passage of pedestrians.
