The Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory expects that in 2026 about 1.8 million residents of the region will undergo medical examination.
The press service of the department reminds that you can undergo the examination yourself by making an appointment in advance at the clinic. To register, you will need a passport and compulsory medical insurance policy. Citizens born in 1986 and earlier, as well as in 1987, 1990, 1993, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2008 are required to undergo testing.
“Medical examination is a comprehensive approach to assessing health status, allowing you to identify potential risks and receive valuable recommendations from specialists. Starting the year with a medical examination is the right decision, since timely detection of pathologies opens the way to early treatment,” emphasized the region’s Minister of Health Alexey Konovalenko.
In 2025, more than 1.6 million residents of the region underwent medical examination—that’s 71.7% of the adult population. Over the year, the number of citizens taking care of their health increased by 20.7%.
“The first place among the identified diseases is occupied by pathologies of the cardiovascular system – 129.6 thousand cases. This is followed by diseases of the gastrointestinal tract – 31.4 thousand cases and diabetes mellitus – 13.8 thousand cases. Also, 13.4 thousand cases of malignant neoplasms and more than three thousand cases of diseases of the respiratory system were diagnosed,” the press service notes.
Let us remind you that medical examination consists of two stages. First, doctors check the patient for signs of chronic non-communicable diseases and factors contributing to their development. Then, if necessary, additional diagnostics are carried out – narrow specialists examine citizens in depth, determine further management tactics, prescribe therapy and place the patient under dispensary observation.
In 2024, the medical examination program included reproductive health examinations for both men and women aged 18 to 49 years, as well as screening for antibodies to viral hepatitis C. All patients over 25 years of age have the opportunity to undergo this important screening free of charge as part of a general clinical blood test once every 10 years.
The medical examination is carried out within the framework of the national project “Long and Active Life”. Employees have the right to one paid day off to undergo medical examination while maintaining their place of work, position and average earnings.
