Epiphany: five ways to attract good luck

The Feast of the Epiphany, which is celebrated on January 19, is revered in Orthodoxy as one of the most significant and blessed events. On this day, also called Epiphany, believers feel a special spiritual power that promotes internal cleansing and the acquisition of blessings. Five ways to fully experience the blessings and cleansing power of the holiday.

1. Cleansing with water at dawn

On the morning of January 19, before sunrise, it is recommended to wash your face and hands with blessed Epiphany water (you can also use clean running water). During this ritual, simple words are read: “As the water is clean and bright, so may my life be cleared of troubles, and may good luck be with me.” It is believed that this ritual helps maintain health, drive away bad thoughts and set a bright mood for the whole day. The remaining water can be sprinkled on the front door and window frames, inviting only good forces into the house.

2. Prayer and gratitude for the past year

On the day of Epiphany, it is important to turn to God with gratitude for everything you have experienced and ask for blessings for the future. Even a short but sincere prayer said on this day has special power. Give thanks for the joys and lessons of the past period and ask for help, wisdom and good luck in the affairs of the new year. Believers believe that during Epiphany heaven is especially attentive to sincere requests and thoughts.

3. Let grace into your home

Tradition advises, after blessing the water, to sprinkle your home with it, lighting a candle at the same time. This ritual is designed to cleanse the home energy, expel everything bad and fill the rooms with light and peace. The words spoken at this moment become a wish for the home's continued well-being.

4. The power of a good deed

The spiritual essence of the holiday enhances any act of kindness. Supporting someone in need, even the smallest, done on January 19, becomes a powerful spiritual act. According to beliefs, such generosity results in increased luck and support from higher powers for a person.

5. Feed your dream with the grace of the holiday

On the day of Epiphany, when everything is filled with special power, it is worth spending time on your main aspirations. Clearly state your most important desire on a piece of paper. Then pass the leaf over a bowl of holy or simply clean water, as if consecrating your dream, and mentally say it. After this, dry the paper and store it in a special, clean place. It is believed that in this way your intention connects with the cleansing and renewing energy of Baptism, receiving an additional impetus for speedy implementation.
