Syrsky appreciated the work of the TCC. Understaffing figures are 'much better'

“Everything related to recruitment and mobilization is a very sensitive issue for any Armed Forces. This is a topic in which one cannot simply operate with numbers. Because to a certain extent, this affects both the combat effectiveness of the troops and the level of awareness of the enemy, because everyone monitors the mobilization, the results of mobilization, the consequences,” noted the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the enemy uses mobilization problems during his information war, and, unfortunately, “sometimes he succeeds,” Syrsky added.

“What can I say: we have much better indicators in this matter than, say, seven months ago,” he emphasized.

When asked about the reasons for this, Syrsky replied: “Probably, improving the work of territorial recruitment centers in relation to commanders, in the work of all components of the defense forces – in terms of ensuring the very process of recruiting units, in terms of training, in terms of working with people.”

As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pointed out, the command has an understanding that “first of all, problems appear where there is no normal human attitude towards the mobilizing people.”

“For a person who came from civilian life, who, in principle, built a career and never associated himself with the army, this process of transition is painful. And on our part we need to do everything to make it more comfortable, without critical consequences when a person leaves for the SOCh [самовольное оставление части]”, noted Syrsky.

According to him, the process of transition from civilian to military life needs to be made “as comfortable and acceptable for a person as possible.”

“Where this process is proceeding normally, let’s say, the level of unauthorized abandonment or violations is minimal. Where there are violations, first of all it is necessary to deal with the commanders or employees of the TCC who committed these violations. Because everywhere the basis is a violation,” Syrsky summed up.
