Romania is going with the largest government delegation so far to the Economic Forum in Davos

Romania will participate in the 2026 edition of the World Economic Forum in Davos with the largest government delegation among all editions of the conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday in a press release.
Romania will be represented at the 2026 edition of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces, stating that the delegation is made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, the Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, the Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, and the presidential adviser Radu Burnete.
Romanian ministers “will participate, at the invitation of the president of the World Economic Forum (WEF), at the organization's 56th annual meeting, which will take place in Davos-Klosters in Switzerland, between January 19-23”.
According to the cited source, this year's edition of the Forum has as its central theme the support of dialogue (“A spirit of dialogue”) and brings together high-level officials (presidents, prime ministers, ministers, etc.), representatives of the most important international organizations and institutions, of the academic environment, press, NGOs.
“The discussion agenda will focus around five major global challenges – cooperating in a contested world, unlocking new sources of growth, investing in human capital, promoting innovation responsibly, increasing global prosperity.”
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, returns to Davos after her presence in 2019, when she was invited as an expert in the role of speaker, and this year Romania has the most consistent government delegation among all editions of the conference, reflecting the commitment shared at the level of the government and the Presidential Administration to strengthen economic diplomacy,” the MFA said in the statement.
