A Russian surgeon from the Krasnoyarsk Territory died as a result of a fall from a height in the Thai resort city of Pattaya. A TASS correspondent was informed about this at the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, which received a report from the Pattaya police station.
According to police, the incident occurred on January 6.
“At the scene, police officers found the body of 41-year-old Russian citizen Timofey Borisov lying on the ground near the hotel. Witnesses stated that the deceased lived in a room on the 16th floor and was exhibiting symptoms consistent with a mental disorder,” the police report said.

Russian volunteer Svetlana Sherstoboeva, who lives in Pattaya and is searching for missing people, indicated in a conversation with a TASS correspondent that Borisov came to Thailand “on a package tour.” “The surgeon from the village of Severo-Yeniseisky arrived alone and was supposed to be in Thailand from January 6 to 11,” she said.
The Thai police continue to investigate the circumstances of the death of the Russian, and therefore his body was sent for forensic examination.
Let us remind you that earlier the media reported that the examination revealed signs of violent death.
“According to the mother of the deceased, shortly after arriving in Pattaya, the son called her and casually said that he had become an unwanted witness to the rape of a girl. Whether these events are connected remains to be determined by the investigation,” the journalists said.
