Firefighters intervened on Sunday to put out a fire caused by two cars on Pipera boulevard in Voluntari, near Bucharest.
According to ISU Bucharest-Ilfov, a short time ago the firefighters intervened to put out the flames that also spread to a gas pipe. The fire in the two cars was extinguished.
At this moment, the fire department is providing specific prevention and protection measures following the rupture of this gas pipeline, taking into account that it is near a five-story hotel, from where 40 people were evacuated.
Traffic in the area is blocked. There are still gas leaks in the front of the building where people were evacuated.
There are 4 fire trucks, 2 SMURD crews and a CBRN and extrication crew at the scene.
The presence of an intervention team from the gas supplier was requested.
