Shocking case: a mother was stabbed by her own son, in Oradea. The woman is in critical condition, undergoing emergency surgery

A 44-year-old woman from Oradea is in a serious condition at the hospital, after she was attacked with a knife by her own 23-year-old son, on Saturday morning, right in front of her home. The victim was rushed to the hospital and went straight into the operating room.

The incident happened around 7 o'clock, on Apateului street. The young man allegedly attacked his mother first in the home, then followed her in front of the house.

The SMURD crew that picked up the victim stated that her condition was serious but stable at the time of transport.

“He had a wound on his neck, with vascular involvement. He immediately entered the operating room”stated the head of SMURD Bihor, doctor Hadrian Borcea, writes the Ebihorian.

The aggressor was detained by the police.

According to prosecutor Cristian Ardelean, the spokesperson of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bihor Court, the police were alerted by a call to 112, on Saturday morning, around 06:45.

“Following the investigations carried out at the scene, it was established that, amid a spontaneous conflict, the son stabbed his mother with a knife in the face and neck area”stated the prosecutor.

In this case, a criminal case was opened for attempted murder in the context of family violence, the investigation being coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bihor Court.
