The concern of the champions could be seen from the first steps taken when they came out to inspect the turf.

Whether they bent down to touch the ground with their palms or just pressed it harder with their feet, they all immediately took an interest in the condition of the ground.

Usually, only the players go out on the field for the turf inspection. This time the coach Elias Charalambous did it, as well as the officials Mihai Stoica and Florin Cernat.

An hour and a half before the start, the organizers were marking the pitch with red paint. The turf still had snow on it but is playable without being frozen. The thermometers indicated minus 3 degrees Celius.
