If you are tired of white residue, dullness and streaks on chrome after using a regular sponge, there is an easy way out. Prepare a natural product that returns a mirror shine to metal without scratches, leaves no odor and costs a penny. You only need two ingredients that are found in almost every home.
Pour 3 tablespoons of baking soda into a small bowl. Add 1-2 teaspoons of water to form a thick paste. To enhance the effect, you can add 3-4 drops of lemon juice or vinegar, but this is not necessary.
Apply the paste to a soft cloth or sponge and gently wipe the surface of the faucet, faucet or shower rod. Move in the direction of polishing from top to bottom. Leave on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse with warm water and wipe dry with a cotton cloth.
This “cocktail” is ideal for chrome, stainless steel, nickel and brass coatings. Soda gently dissolves limescale, and water washes away residues without an abrasive effect. Unlike aggressive cleaning agents, it does not leave micro-scratches that dull the metal over time.
Question and answer:
How to clean a faucet from limescale without chemicals?
Mix baking soda with water to a paste, apply to the tap, rub with a soft cloth, rinse and wipe dry.
Why not use vinegar in its pure form?
Concentrated vinegar may damage some finishes. In combination with soda, it works softer and safer.
