Donald Trump is bringing out heavy guns on Greenland
The threat of punitive tariffs by the Donald Trump administration is a powerful tool of economic pressurewhich may actually hit the foundations of European economies, forcing governments to balance political costs with economic ones.
For countries such as Denmark and Germany, this means the risk of a significant decline in exports, increase in prices of consumer goods and destabilization of supply chains.
Although governments officially declare to defend Greenland's sovereignty, it is not known how far they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause if Donald Trump were to carry out his threats.
