Iran threatens. It's not just the Strait of Hormuz that could be closed

The Bab al-Mandab Strait is one of the most important shipping corridors in the world, connecting the Arabian Sea with the Red Sea and enabling the transport of goods from Asia to Europe through the Suez Canal. Ship traffic in this section was previously restricted by the activities of Yemen's Houthi rebels, supported by Iran.

As Reuters notes, the combination of tensions around two key routes – Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab – increases the risk of serious disruptions to global trade and supplies of oil and gas.
No agreement between the US and Iran. Donald Trump announces a massive attack
According to information provided by a high-ranking official in an interview with Reuters, Iran does not intend to give in to US pressure and does not plan to open the Strait of Hormuz.
An anonymous representative of the authorities in Tehran emphasized that no negotiations were taking place with Washington, which – as he stated – expected unilateral concessions in exchange for “empty promises”.
The Reuters source also threatened that if the United States attacks Iran's power plants, “the entire region and Saudi Arabia will be plunged into complete darkness.”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced a massive US attack on Iran tonight.
