Accused of fatal accident with school bus in southern Krasnoyarsk Territory detained (video)

Minusinsk police officers, in cooperation with colleagues from Khakassia, detained a 33-year-old resident of Abakan, suspected of committing an accident with a school bus and a car, which resulted in the death of a woman.

Recall 1January 4 at 35 km of the road A Sayany PAZ driving from Minusinsk in the direction of Krasnoyarsk collided with “Toyota”. The 38-year-old female driver of the car died on the spot from her injuries. There were 15 people on the bus, 13 of them were schoolchildren. Three minors were provided with medical assistance.

The police previously determined that the driver of the Ford car was at fault:

“While overtaking a convoy of cars in the oncoming lane and realizing that he did not have time to complete the maneuver, the 33-year-old motorist tried to return to his lane, as a result of which he collided with a Toyota, which was carried into the oncoming lane, where a collision with a bus occurred. In violation of traffic rules, the person responsible for the accident fled the scene.”

Within 24 hours, law enforcement officers identified the attacker. The man said that he was driving from work to Abakan, and after the accident he stopped and called an ambulance, but when he saw that a man had died, he got scared and left. He repented of his actions.

The detainee's car was seized and placed in a special parking lot. Currently, the clarification of all the circumstances of the incident and the investigation of criminal cases initiated under Part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person through negligence, associated with leaving the place where it was committed) and Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers).
