A 53-year-old resident of the village was arrested in the Yenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Abalakovo, which threatened a 64-year-old store clerk with a weapon.

The incident occurred on January 12. Today the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided details:

“The man himself called the police and said that, having a gun with him, he was threatening the woman seller right now. An investigative team immediately went to the store, and employees detained the attacker at the crime scene. He turned out to be a local resident with no previous convictions, who came into the store in a state of intoxication and, threatening the seller with a gun, demanded alcoholic beverages. The man did not resist and voluntarily gave the police a shotgun and three self-loading cartridges, which he owned illegally.”

Also, during the search in the defendant’s apartment, 5 cans of gunpowder, 8 cartridges and 16 cartridges were seized, which were sent for ballistic examination.

Three criminal cases were opened against the man: under Part 1 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”, Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Hooliganism” and Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal acquisition and storage of explosives.” He is currently in custody.
