Ukraine reveals the scale of grain theft. Russian shadow fleet in the crosshairs

According to the minister, nearly 40 percent the stolen grain was sold to Egypt. To carry out this operation, Russia used ports on the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, and also created a special shadow fleet whose task was to transport illegally seized cargo.
“Our intelligence has already identified 45 ships involved in the theft of Ukrainian grain and its transportation to world markets. We have imposed sanctions on 43 of these vessels and 39 of their captains,” we read in the published entry.
Andriy Sybiha appeals to European countries for help
The minister called on European countries to closely monitor grain shipments leaving Ukraine. He noted that all infrastructure used by Russia for this practice, as well as entities purchasing stolen grain, should be subject to sanctions.
“We already have experience in fighting Russian tankers from the shadow fleet. Now it's time to also stop the expansion of Russia's grain shadow fleet.” – added Sybiha.
